Western Interactive Technical Seminar (WITS)
The Western Interactive Technical Seminar (WITS) is for doers by doers.

Who should attend?

  • Field Techs
  • Field Engineers
  • Commissioning Engineers
  • Protective Relay Testers
  •

WITS will show you best practices when it comes to testing substations in the field.

In this event, you will:

  • Get up close and personal with actual equipment.
  • Receive hands-on, step-by-step instruction from industry experts on how to get your job done safely and quickly.
  • Interact with live instructors showing you exactly which software to use and which button to push.
  • Network with peers in your area who are facing similar challenges.
  •

Each course module is about a half-day in length. Each will also include a Fireside Chat with OMICRON, an interactive experience with your OMICRON and industry peers devoted entirely to addressing audience questions and requested topics.

Here are some of the technical topics you will learn:

  • Transformer Testing: Power Factor
  • Instrument Transformer (CT/PT) Testing
  • IEC61850 Fundamentals and Protection Testing
  •

Here are some of the products we will touch on:

  • TESTRANO
  • TD12
  • CTA
  • VOTANO
  • IEDScout
  • CMC356
  • DANEO
  •

You can attend everything to get a “buffet” of get-you-testing-quickly tutorials. Alternatively, you can pick and choose just the course module you want. A supplemental handout summarizing important concepts will be provided to all participants.

When?
